Nigerian Muslim killed 37 Christians in August
Muslim Fulani militants killed 37 Christians in Kaduna State, Nigeria this month and destroyed hundreds of homes, reports International Christian Concern.
Meanwhile, the government has done nothing to protect these believers.
Human rights group PSJ UK co-authored a report, showing extremists have killed nearly 100,000 Nigerian Christians over the last 20 years.
The group also organized a petition to the Nigerian government to end the slaughter of Christians, which you can sign through a link in our transcript today at theworldview.com.
13,583 Scottish pre-born children murdered
13,583 unborn babies were murdered last year in Scotland by abortion.
It’s the largest number on record since 2008.
And nearly half of the abortions took place at home.
Military coup in Mali, West Africa
The military leaders of the West African nation of Mali overthrew the country’s President Ibrahim Boubacar Keita last week after months of protests over disputed parliamentary elections and perceived government failure. The military leaders promised a return to elections, but talks over civilian rule have stalled.
Meanwhile, hundreds of thousands of people have been protesting in Belarus against the Eastern European country’s President Alexander Lukashenko who has been in power for 26 years and is known as “Europe’s last dictator.” Belarus has not had free and fair elections since they emerged from the Soviet Union 30 years ago.
Daniel 2:21 says the Lord “changes the times and the seasons; He removes kings and raises up kings.”
Rand Paul: Trump is first president in generation to end foreign war
President Donald Trump officially received his party’s nomination for the 2020 presidential election during the first day of the Republican National Convention on Monday.
Day 2 on Tuesday featured Trump giving a full pardon to Jon Ponder, who spent time in prison for bank robbery, but is now a Christian and runs a ministry to prisoners. Speakers included Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, Eric Trump, Tiffany Trump, and First Lady Melania Trump.
Rand Paul said Trump has made real headway in tax reform, healthcare reform, criminal justice reform, and especially reform in ending foreign wars.
PAUL: “President Trump is the first president in a generation to seek to end war rather than start one. He intends to end the war in Afghanistan. He is bringing our men and women home. Madison once wrote, ‘No nation can preserve its freedom in the midst of continuous warfare.’ I’m proud to finally see a president who agrees with that.”

Pro-lifer Abby Johnson, former Planned Parenthood employee, endorses Trump
Pro-life activist Abby Johnson, a former Planned Parenthood employee, also addressed the Republican National Convention on Tuesday.
Johnson described her horrific experiences with the abortion giant and how she now supports life, noting President Trump’s efforts against abortion.
JOHNSON: “I now support President Trump because he has done more for the unborn than any other president. During his first month in office, he banned federal funds for global health groups that promote abortion. That same year, he overturned an Obama-Biden rule that allowed government subsidy of abortion. He appointed a record number of pro-life judges, including two Supreme Court justices. And importantly, he announced a new rule protecting the rights of healthcare workers objecting to abortion, many of whom I work with every day.
“Life is a core tenant of who we are as Americans. And this election is a choice between two radical anti-life activists and the most pro-life president we have ever had.”

COVID Tyrants leveling heavy fines on California churches
California churches face hefty fines for holding indoor worship services in violation of coronavirus lockdown restrictions.
Authorities fined North Valley Baptist Church in Santa Clara $10,000 and Godspeak Calvary Chapel in Thousand Oaks $4,000.
Cissie Graham Lynch, granddaughter of Evangelist Billy Graham, addressed the Republican National Convention this week about the crisis of religious liberty in America.
LYNCH: “Some Democratic leaders tried to ban church services while marijuana shops and abortion clinics were declared essential. But you know what truly is essential? Our right to worship freely and live our faith in every aspect of life. The Biden-Harris vision for America leaves no room for people of faith whether you’re a baker, a florist, or a football coach. They will force the choice between being obedient to God or to Caesar.”
(Watch her entire 3-minute speech.)
Acts 5:29 says, “We ought to obey God rather than men.”
Hurricane Laura becomes Category 4 storm
Hurricane Laura in the Gulf of Mexico strengthened to a Category 4 storm yesterday.
Authorities ordered over half a million people to evacuate the Texas-Louisiana coastline as forecasters expect a 20-foot storm surge.
Africa cleared of wild polio virus
And finally, in God’s providence, the continent of Africa has been declared free of the wild polio virus after four years without a case!
Now, five of six World Health Organization regions are considered wild polio-free, amounting to 90 percent of the world’s population.
Psalm 103:2-3 says, “Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases.”
