Suicide Rates Up 30%, Crossfit Fires Christian Employees, Trump Considers Trade Restrictions

Trump: “We’re the Piggy Bank that Everybody is Robbing.”

President Donald Trump told foreign leaders at the Group of Seven summit in Quebec City, Canada on Saturday that they must dramatically reduce trade barriers with America or they would risk losing access to the world’s largest economy, reports the Washington Post.

He said, “We’re the piggy bank that everybody is robbing. And that ends.”

Fox News Analyst: “I Leave This Life with No Regrets.”

Charles Krauthammer, the brilliant Fox News Channel Pulitzer Prize-winning political analyst, revealed last Friday the heartbreaking news that he only has weeks to live in his fight with abdominal cancer, reports Fox News.

In a heartfelt letter, he wrote, “This is the final verdict. My fight is over. I leave this life with no regrets.  It was a wonderful life – full and complete with the great loves and great endeavors that make it worth living. I am sad to leave, but I leave with the knowledge that I lived the life that I intended.”

Krauthammer graduated from Harvard Medical School in 1975 despite a first-year diving accident that left him a quadriplegic.

CNN Host Commits Suicide

Just days after the high profile suicide of fashion designer Kate Spade, celebrity chef and television personality Anthony Bourdain, host of CNN’s series “Parts Unknown,” committed suicide on Friday by hanging himself in a French hotel room where he was working on an upcoming episode of his show.

In the recently aired Buenos Aires episode, he confessed on air to a therapist, “I’d like to be happy. I’d like to be happier. I should be happy. I have incredible luck. I’d like to look out the window and say life is good. … I have the best job in the world.”

Just this week, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said suicide rates have gone up by 30 percent across America since 1999.

In 2016, nearly 45,000 Americans age 10 or older died by suicide, making it the 10th leading cause of death. If you have had suicidal thoughts, call the Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-8255.

No doubt Bourdain echoed the words of Solomon from Ecclesiastes 1:14 who wrote, “I have seen all the things that are done under the sun; all of them are meaningless, a chasing after the wind.” Our purpose in life is found in only one place.

Sadly, he never found that right relationship with God described in Proverbs 3:5-6. “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.”

CrossFit Fires Two Christians for Opposing Homosexual Pride

A CrossFit gym in Indianapolis, Indiana, was closed last Wednesday after staff and club members revolted against a decision by the gym location’s owner to cancel a homosexual pride event due to his Christian convictions, reports WTHR-TV.

In an email explanation, owner Brandon Lowe wrote, “We believe that true health forever can only be found within humility, not pride. Humility is seeing oneself as they truly are, and as God truly defines them to be.”

Russell Berger, an executive for the global fitness company which has 13,000 affiliate gyms in over 120 countries, was also fired for tweeting agreement with the owner. Berger wrote, “Thank you #CrossFitInfiltrate for standing by your convictions and refusing to celebrate sin. … The intolerance of the LBGTQ ideology toward any alternative views is mind-blowing.”

Berger told The Washington Post, “the most hateful thing I could do for someone would be to lie to him or her about sin and our need for Christ, as unpopular as this may be in our culture today.”

CrossFit tweeted: “The statements made today by Russell Berger do not reflect the views of CrossFit Inc. For this reason, his employment with CrossFit has been terminated.”

Rod Dreher of The American Conservative, wrote, “Gay activists and their supporters among the gym’s employees destroyed this Christian’s business, not because he wouldn’t allow gays to work out at the gym, but because he would not permit them to celebrate gay Pride there.”

Apartment Manager Saves Three from Drowning

Finally, in God’s providence, Jennifer Potter, the assistant manager at an apartment complex in Indianapolis, Indiana, was driving across the property in a golf cart when she heard a 3-year-old boy calling for help from the deep end of the pool.

She dove in to help the boy.  However, she saw that there was another person in distress as well: the boy’s mother was underneath her son, holding him up and making sure that his face was above water, even though her own face was submerged, reports WTHR-TV.

Potter grabbed the child and the drowning woman and hauled them both to safety. But, as it turned out, Potter didn’t just save two people that day, but three. The drowning woman was six months pregnant!

“I’m just glad I was here, really. “That’s all I think about because it could have been much worse scenario. I’d do it all over in a heartbeat. No questions.”

Bill Clinton Defends Disgraced Former Senator Al Franken

In a conversation with PBS’s Judy Woodruff, former President Bill Clinton defended former Democratic Senator Al Franken who resigned his office after admitted to sexually harassing various women.

While agreeing that the #MeToo Movement was a a “good thing”, Clinton defended Franken and questioned the legitimacy of some of the accusations against him.

“I think it’s a grievous thing to take away from the people, a decision they have made, especially when there is an election coming up again. But it’s done now.”

Senator Ted Cruz Highlights 7 Trump/Conservative Victories

Last Thursday, Republican Senator Ted Cruz of Texas listed the seven conservative accomplishments of the Trump administration to the Road to Majority Conference hosted by the Faith & Freedom Coalition, reports The Christian Post.

President Trump has appointed “principled, constitutionalist judges”, passed the most significant tax overhaul in three decades, repealed the Obamacare individual mandate, and has affirmed the sanctity of life by reinstating the Mexico City Policy, which prohibits tax-funded payment international abortions, pulled out of funding the United Nations Population Fund that was “complicit in China’s horrific practices of forced sterilizations and forced abortions” and ended the abhorrent so-called contraceptive mandate in Obamacare which forced Christians to fund abortion-inducing drugs.

Plus, Senator Cruz was grateful that President Trump also passed the school choice tax bill amendment, moved the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem and withdrew from the Iran nuclear deal.

New Videos: Planned Parenthood Ignores Rape, Advises Pimps

Two new undercover videos seem to show Planned Parenthood employees at clinics ignoring claims of statutory rape and advising pimps on how to get an unreported abortion for 14 and 15-year-old prostitutes, reports Christian Headlines.

In two new videos from Live Action, “Aiding Abusers: Planned Parenthood’s Cover-Up of Child Sex Abuse,” Live Action claims that its undercover sex trafficking investigation found eight different Planned Parenthood employees at seven different facilities in different states “showed a willingness to aid and abet sex traffickers.”

Live Action President Lila Rose said “Rather than reporting suspected abuse to authorities, Planned Parenthood has repeatedly looked the other way.”

TSA Agent Pats Down 96-Year-Old for 6 Minutes

A TSA agent at Dulles Airport in Washington took 6 minutes to pat down a 96-year-old woman in a wheelchair, prompting her daughter, Jeanne Clarkson, to claim it was “prolonged and repetitive”, reports CBS News.

Clarkson explained that her mother “does not want to fly again ever. She didn’t know what they were looking for. She was scared. She was just following directions. She said she didn’t know what to do.”

The video of the incident has been viewed 9 million times.

Adding to the family’s frustration, their late night flight to Indianapolis was canceled, stranding them overnight at the Dulles Airport.

Facebook Lied Again

Despite Mark Zuckerberg’s claims to the contrary before a congressional committee, Facebook struck customized data-sharing deals that gave select companies including the Royal Bank of Canada and Nissan Motor special access to user records well after the point in 2015 that the social network has said it walled off that information, reports the Wall Street Journal.

The whitelist included access to user’s Facebook friends and phone numbers.
