Pakistani Christians left destitute after Muslim mob destroys homes

The Christian community in Jaranwala, Pakistan is reeling in the aftermath of an August 19th attack by a Muslim mob that vandalized hundreds of homes, churches, and businesses which left families destitute, reports International Christian Concern.

The violence has sparked international outrage and spread fear among Pakistani Christians.

Pakistan is the 7th most dangerous country for Christians worldwide according to the Open Doors World Watch list.

DeSantis addressed a troubled economy

During last week’s GOP presidential debate in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis vowed to reverse Bidenomics.

DESANTIS: “Our country is in decline. This decline is not inevitable. It’s a choice.  We need to send Joe Biden back to his basement and reverse American decline. And it starts with understanding we must reverse Bidenomics so that middle class families have a chance to succeed again. We cannot succeed as a country if you are working hard and you can’t afford groceries, a car or a new home while Hunter Biden can make hundreds of thousands of dollars on lousy paintings. That is wrong. We also cannot succeed when the Congress spends trillions and trillions of dollars. Those rich men north of Richmond have put us in this situation.

“And finally, we need to lower your gas prices. We’re going to open up all energy production. We will be energy dominant again in this country. I showed it could be done in the state of Florida. I pledge to you as your President, we will get the job done and I will not let you down.”

And when Fox News anchors asked what DeSantis would do in the conflict between Ukraine and Russia should he become president, the Florida Governor said this.

DeSANTIS: “I’m not going to send troops to Ukraine, but I am going to send them to our southern border. When these drug pushers are bringing fentanyl across the border that’s going to be the last thing they do. We’re going to use force and we’re going to leave ‘em stone cold dead.”

Coach fired for saying boys should not compete with girls

A Vermont high school coach is suing the school district, claiming he was fired simply for telling students that he did not believe biological males should compete in girls’ sports, reports The Christian Post.

David Bloch, who served as a snowboarding coach at Woodstock Union High School, filed a lawsuit against local school officials after being terminated in February. A hearing is scheduled for September 25th.

The teacher said “as a matter of biology, males and females have different DNA” and that “biological differences generally give males competitive advantages in athletic events.”

Sadly, Vermont schools allow boys, pretending to be girls, to compete against biological girls.

Teen girls get depressed by social media exposure

One of America’s top pediatricians says she has seen a “clear link” between depression and social media use among teen girls and encourages parents to re-think their smartphone strategy, reports Christian Headlines.

Meg Meeker, the author of Raising a Strong Daughter in a Toxic Culture, said one of her patients was a 15-year-old girl who had attempted suicide and acknowledged part of her problem was social media. The girl said she “felt awful about herself” whenever she got off her phone.

Romans 12:2 warns, “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.”

Several companies offer social media-free smartphones that allow children and teens to stay in touch with family and friends. Two of the more popular companies are Gabb and Bark. Both have strong parental controls. Gabb also offers a social media-free smartwatch.

Pro-life strategist pleased Florida is holding abortionists accountable

Rev. Jim Harden, the CEO of CompassCare crisis pregnancy centers in New York and a pro-life strategist, talked exclusively with The Worldview about how Florida is holding the abortion industry accountable through audits and significant fines.

HARDEN: “On August 14th, the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration, which is basically their health department, issued a $193,000 fine to an Orlando abortion provider for 193 counts of denying women informed consent to abortion, a felony in the third degree, in just 17 days, over the duration just 17 days.”

Pastor Harden defined what informed consent means.

HARDEN: “Florida’s informed consent law requires two things. Number 1: Provide information about the humanity of the child and the risks and side effects of abortion to the woman. And Number 2:  Twenty-four hours to think about what she’s just learned before she decides to end the life of her child, so she can give informed consent, fully understanding what she’s really doing. Because many women don’t understand what abortion really does to her and to her baby. The abortion industry maximizes that to sell more abortions.”

The Florida informed consent law includes a mandated ultrasound of the baby in the womb at least 24 hours before the mother can abort that child. The Sunshine State is one of 13 states to have mandatory waiting periods for abortion.

Additionally, Pastor Harden called for government officials nationwide to hold the baby-killing industry accountable.

HARDEN: “I am calling on all state attorneys general, governors, and health departments to hold the abortion industry accountable. I’m urging all the Worldview listeners to call your governors and your attorneys general to conduct an audit and criminal investigations into the abortion industries in your states, to look into abortion fraud, the abortion industry, sex crime cover ups, and Medicare and other funding fraud as well as violations of the Comstock Act which is the illegal shipping of chemical abortion drugs across state lines.”

Rare blue supermoon reflects God’s glory

And finally, a rare blue supermoon – the closest full moon of the year – dazzled stargazers on Wednesday night as the glowing object illuminated the sky, reports The Daily Mail.

Saturn also joined the stunning celestial spectacle and was visible alongside the gleaming moon in parts of the world where skies were clear.

It was the second full moon of August, therefore making it a ‘blue’ moon. And it was also unusually close to Earth, earning it the title of a supermoon. The conjunction of both phenomenon at the same time made the event so rare.  Indeed, the next blue supermoon won’t occur until 2037!

“Thus says the Lord, Who gives the sun for light by day and the fixed order of the moon and the stars for light by night, Who stirs up the sea so that its waves roar; The Lord of hosts is His name.” (Jeremiah 31:35)
