Fast and pray for North Korean Christians on Tuesday, April 28th
Christians around the world are remembering their brothers and sisters in Christ in North Korea next Tuesday, April 28 by praying and fasting.
The International Day of Prayer and Fasting coincides with the first day of the 17th Annual North Korea Freedom Week.
Suzanne Scholte, chairman of the North Korea Freedom Coalition told CBN News, “This regime is a personification of evil. Kim Jong Un has set himself up as a god. He’s taken the tenets of the Christian faith and the regime has perverted that to worship him as a deity.”
North Korea is ranked as the worst nation in the world for persecution of Christians according to Open Doors.
Jesus said in Matthew 17:21, “However, this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.”
COVID-closed Russian abortion mills saves 100,000 babies
Nearly all the abortion mills in Moscow, Russia are closed right now, potentially saving the lives of 100,000 babies, reports The Moscow Times.
The closures come in response to the COVID-19 outbreak in Russia.
Moscow, with a population of 12.5 million people, has over half of Russia’s 62,773 coronavirus cases and 555 deaths.
Kentucky church still holding drive-in church services
“On Fire” Christian Church in Louisville, Kentucky will continue to hold drive-in services with social distancing after reaching an agreement with the mayor who had previously banned such services, but was overruled by a federal judge.
Similarly, a federal judge ruled on Saturday that churches in Kansas are exempt from the state’s executive order banning meetings of over 10 people. The ruling came after several churches filed suit over being targeted for more onerous restrictions compared with other groups.
Supreme Court looking at overturning Roe v. Wade
Supreme Court Justices are taking aim at the infamous pro-abortion Roe v. Wade decision of 1973.
In a recent ruling unrelated to abortion, Justice Brett Kavanaugh wrote that respecting legal precedent does not mean that judges should not overrule erroneous decisions and went on to cite Roe v. Wade as an example.
In the same case, Justice Clarence Thomas referenced multiple incorrect decisions by the Supreme Court, including Roe v. Wade and the pro-homosexual Obergefell v. Hodges.
Trump celebrates “wonders of God’s creation”
On Wednesday, President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump participated in planting a maple tree on the south lawn of the White House for the 50th anniversary of Earth Day.
While lamenting the loss of life from the coronavirus outbreak, Trump rejoiced in the beauty of springtime as a reminder of peace and the hope of renewal.
TRUMP: “On this special occasion, we are renewing our strong national commitment on conserving the wonders of God’s creation. One of the most important ways we uphold this tradition is by protecting our priceless national parks and our public lands.”
Psalm 24:1 says, “The earth is the LORD’s, and all its fullness, the world and those who dwell therein.”
Roger Stone: “My career will be guided by Jesus Christ”
In February, political consultant Roger Stone received a 40-month sentence after being convicted of lying to Congress, witness tampering, and obstructing the investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election.
Last week, a federal judge denied Stone a new trial, but the judge did lift a gag order on the long-time friend of President Trump, and now he is speaking out.
During the whole legal proceedings, Stone says he has reaffirmed his faith in Christ like never before.
Stone told Real Clear Politics that he was raised Roman Catholic, but was not serious about his faith until he met and prayed with Evangelist Franklin Graham back in January.
Stone said the matters of his legal proceedings are in God’s hands and that “the next act in my career will be guided by Jesus Christ, and I have placed full faith in Him.”
He also appeared on Tucker Carlson’s show on the Fox News Channel.
STONE: “So, at this juncture, I am praying for justice. I am praying for mercy. But I’ve got to be honest with you. It’s in God’s hands. After meeting and praying with Reverend Franklin Graham some months ago, I have reacquainted myself with my Christian faith. I am praying for the very best.”
Luke 15:7 says, “There will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance.”
