President Trump Prepares to Declare National Emergency by Feb. 15

The White House is finalizing details of a potential national emergency declaration to secure President Donald Trump’s border wall, even as lawmakers are trying to broker an immigration deal that could avert another shutdown in just over two weeks by the February 15th deadline, reports Politico.com.

And White House aides have been quietly meeting with outside conservative political groups to build support for the president to take such an action. Those talking points, which emphasize Trump’s legal authority, have begun to show up in such conservative media outlets as Breitbart News.

Sarah Huckabee Sanders: God Wanted Trump to Be President

White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said she believes God wanted Donald Trump to become president and praised the “tremendous job” he has done supporting the Christian community, reports CBN News.

SANDERS: “I think God calls all of us to fill different roles at different times.  I think that He wanted Donald Trump to become president, and that’s why he’s there.  I think he has done a tremendous job in supporting a lot of the things that people of faith really care about.”

The latest NPR/PBS NewsHour/Marist Poll shows that 66 percent of white evangelical Christians approve of the job that Trump is doing as president.

Trump and Pence Decry the Democrats’ Obsession with Infanticide

After Democratic New York Governor Andrew Cuomo signed the most extreme abortion law in the country, which permits abortion after the 24th week of a pregnancy, and Democratic Virginia Governor Ralph Northam, who previously worked as a pediatric neurologist, affirmed infanticide, President Trump wrote on Twitter that the Democrats had become the “the party of late-term abortion”, reports the New York Times.

And Vice President Mike Pence said the barbaric practices were a “call to action for all Americans.”

Carol Tobias, the president of the National Right to Life Committee, said, late-term abortion] is “going to come into play, quite frankly, in the elections next year. We’re not going to let it go away.”

Actor Ashton Kutcher: Those with Down Syndrome Are Valuable

In the midst of this renewed national debate about abortion and the sanctity of human life, actor Ashton Kutcher shared a link to the powerful 2017 testimony Special Olympian Frank Stephens with his 20 million followers on Facebook, proclaiming that “every life is valuable.”

STEPHENS: “No one knows more about life with Down Syndrome than I do. Please remember this. I am a man with Down Syndrome. And my life is worth living. The people pushing this particular ‘final solution’ are saying that people like me are saying that people like me should not exist. That view is deeply prejudiced by an outdated idea of life with Down Syndrome. Seriously, I have a great life.”

Five million Kutcher fans retweeted that testimony, reports Fox News. A sobering reminder of the value of life since Democrats believe that a woman is morally justified in taking the life of her Down syndrome unborn baby.

Psalm 139:14 says, “I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Your works are wonderful, I know that full well.”

The Lie of the Transgender Seduction

Transgenderism has become almost a cult in the world of entertainment, culture and the media. And its insidious ripple effects are devastating, as World Magazine has noted.

To their credit, the Heritage Foundation, a conservative think tank in D.C., held a fascinating panel discussion recently in which one mother testified about what happened to her daughter in the government school.

“I was shocked when my 13-year-old daughter told me that she was really my transgender son. She had no masculine interests and hated all sports.  But as a smart, quirk teen on the autism spectrum, she had a long history of not fitting in with girls.

“Where did she get the idea she was transgender? From a school presentation, a school where over 5% of the entire student body call themselves trans or non-binary. Where several students are already on hormones and one had a mastectomy at the age of 16. In my daughter’s world, both real life and on-line, transgender identities are common and hormones and surgeries are no big deal.

“I took her to a gender clinician, seeking expert guidance. Instead, he accepted her new identity, and told me I must refer to my daughter with masculine pronouns, call her by a masculine name, and buy her a binder to flatten her breasts. No therapy, no consideration of the social factors that obviously affected her thinking.

“I was directed to put her on puberty-blocking drugs and was falsely assured that these drugs were well studied and a perfectly safe way for her to explore her gender.”

Doctors have testified that these puberty-blocking drugs will leave the young men and women sterile, unable to reproduce as they get older, reports The Christian Post.

Pew: People Who Attend Church Are Happier Than Those Who Don’t

And finally, those who identify with a religious group and regularly attend worship services tend to be happier and more civically engaged than those who do not, a new Pew Research Center survey has found.

• 36 percent of actively religious people said they were “very happy” compared to only 25 percent of “unaffiliated” or “inactive” churchgoers.
• Among Americans who identify as Christian or another religious tradition and attend services at least once a month, 85 percent don’t smoke, compared to 74 percent of the religiously unaffiliated.
