Republicans concede $4 trillion debt ceiling adjustment
The debt-ceiling charade, played out by the U.S. President and Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy, is over for now as the Republicans conceded to the $4 trillion debt ceiling adjustment for the next two years, reports The Hill.
The Republicans are touting no new taxes with a massive increase in debt. Also, the agreement would rescind $1.4 billion of the $80 billion increase provided to the IRS last year.
The Republican-controlled House of Representatives has yet to vote on the deal.
Joe Biden and Donald Trump blew up the federal debt
To review the history of the U.S. federal debt, the average deficit under the Bill Clinton administration was $0. The average annual deficit under the George W. Bush administration was $450 billion. The average annual deficit under Barack Obama’s administration was $800 billion.
The average annual deficit under Donald Trump’s four-year administration was $2 trillion. And the estimated average annual deficit under Joe Biden will be $1.9 trillion.
TV exposé of the Duggar Family and Bill Gothard
Amazon Prime is releasing a docuseries this Friday entitled “Shiny Happy People,” capitalizing on the scandals related to the Duggar Family and Bill Gothard and the organization he founded — The Institute in Basic Life Principles.
Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar and their 19 children were featured on a reality program produced by The Learning Channel between 2008 and 2015 entitled “19 Kids and Counting.”
The secular investigation purports to expose “the truth beneath the wholesome Americana surface of reality TV’s favorite mega-family” and somehow associates these scandals with a “threat” to democracy. The preview announces that “world domination was the goal” for the Duggars and the Institute for Basic Life Principles. The Duggar’s fourth child, Jill Duggar Dillard, is featured in the series.
This isn’t the first secular attempt to expose Christian ministries. Discovery Plus released “Hillsong: A Megachurch Exposed” last year. And FX has just released a 4-part documentary entitled “The Secrets of Hillsong” this spring.
977 homosexual/transgender “pride” events scheduled in 2023
Pride comes before destruction and a haughty spirit before a fall. (Proverbs 16:18) This year, the world is setting itself up for the proudest year yet.
Indeed, 977 pride events are scheduled for 55 countries in 2023, of which 353 of them have been organized for the US. YouGov.com found 20% of Americans attend pride events.
While Target and Budweiser have come under the most flak for their very public support of sexual perversions, the top ten companies that issued the most public support last year for the LHBT pride month were Apple at #1, followed by Netflix, Disney, Nike, Procter and Gamble, HBO, Puma, and Skittles.
Massachusetts towns greenlight polyamorous arrangements
Following the U.S. Supreme Court Obergefell vs. Hodges 2015 ruling instituting homosexual mirage, all bets are off for containing perversion in marriage and domestic partnerships.
At least two communities in America have opened up their domestic partnership regulations to various sexually-confusing relationships — referred to as “multiple partner relationships.” These are Sommerville and Cambridge, Massachusetts.
In addition, the city of Sommerville has recently banned employment discrimination to individuals living in almost all forms of sexual perversion.
Biden horrified by Uganda’s stand for righteousness
Yesterday, President Biden severely condemned Uganda for issuing a stricter law against homosexual crimes — which includes the requirement to report a homosexual crime when a child is involved.
Also, the “knowing promotion” of homosexuality in Ugandan society could also result in a 20-year prison sentence. The U.S. President threatened sanctions which may include Uganda’s eligibility for the African Growth and Opportunity Act, reports Reuters.
Biden’s indifference to 52,250 Nigerian Christian martyrs
And finally, a recent article posted on Newsweek.com has questioned why the Biden State Department has refused to include Nigeria on the list of Nations of Particular Concern for religious persecution.
Some have suggested that the U.S. Religious Freedom Commission is a sham.
David Curry, President of Global Christian Relief, wrote in a Wall Street Journal op-ed last June that “in the 24 years since the International Religious Freedom Act was passed, no president has enacted any meaningful sanctions against a [Country of Particular Concern] country expressly because of religious-freedom violations.”
Meanwhile, Reuters news service has documented anywhere from 10,000 to 15,000 forced abortions conducted on Nigerian women since 2015, under the auspices of the Nigerian army.
And the Intersociety Rule of Law calculates that 52,250 Christians have been killed and 10,000 churches have been attacked by radical Muslims in Nigeria since 2009. This has turned out to be second worst genocide of the 21st century, second only to the Darfur Genocide in Sudan.
Proverbs 17:15 reminds us that “he who justifies the wicked and he who condemns the righteous are both alike an abomination to the LORD.”
