Leah, the Nigerian Girl, Still Refuses to Renounce Faith in Captivity
Leah Sharibu, a Christian Nigerian girl, is still being held captive by the Islamic group Boko Haram for not renouncing her faith after being kidnapped.
Open Doors shared a message from Leah’s mother, pleading with Christians to not tire of praying for her.
Hundreds of Christians in Nigeria have also been killed by Muslim Fulani herdsmen. President Donald Trump called for an end to the killings during a meeting with Nigerian president Muhammadu Buhari on Monday.
New Anti-Conversion Law by Hindu Radicals Hurts Christians in India
On April 18th, Uttarakhand, India has become the seventh state in that country to pass an anti-conversion law. Christians across the state now fear that Hindu radicals will use the new law to harass the community’s Christian leaders, and possibly send them to jail for one to five years simply for sharing their faith in Christ.
The World View spoke with William Stark of International Christian Concern.
“Under the law, essentially it criminalizes three things: conversion by coercion, conversion by fraud, or conversion by inducement. Now that may seem somewhat reasonable to us, but when you apply it to Christianity, you can see that it’s a flat-out religious conversion ban.
“Under the inducement clause, the promise of eternal life is considered an inducement. Under the coercion clause, the warning that if you don’t believe in Christ you could go to hell is seen as coercion. So really when this law is applied, it becomes an anti-conversion law.”
According to census data of Uttarakhand, the Christian community comprises less than one percent of the population of that state in India. Yet, Stark insists that the government wants to snuff out any vestige of the body of Christ.
“To stop any growth of the church, these government officials know that often Hindu radicals will use these laws in order to justify their attacks on pastors.
“It’s almost a daily occurrence for me here that I get a call or an email about a pastor who has been in church, a group of Hindu radicals show up at that church, they beat him up, they bring him to the police station. The Hindu radicals then accuse the pastor of engaging in forced conversions and then the police, instead of arresting the assailants who have clearly beaten the pastor, they arrest the pastor. Now, he is on book for potentially going to prison for two to five years.”
Pray for our brothers and sisters in Christ in Uttarakhand, India.

Psalm 46 reminds us it is the Lord who “makes wars cease to the end of the earth; He breaks the bow and cuts the spear in two; He burns the chariot in the fire. Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!”
Trump: “Nothing Is More Powerful than God”
President Trump announced the creation of a new White House Faith and Opportunity Initiative on Thursday to promote the protection of religious liberty and strongly represent religious organizations in the federal government.
On the National Day of Prayer, Trump made this remark in a Rose Garden ceremony yesterday.
“We know that in solving the many, many problems and our great challenges that faith is more powerful than government, and nothing is more powerful than God.”
Iowa Heartbeat Bill Needs Governor’s Signature
Right now, two U.S. states are considering some of the most restrictive abortion bans.
The Iowa legislature approved a bill this week to ban most abortions after a baby’s heartbeat is detected, usually at seven weeks of pregnancy.
Join me and call Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds right now and ask her to sign the Iowa Heartbeat Bill into law! She has not indicated what she will do. Her number is 515-281-5211. That’s 515-281-5211.
Plus, send her a quick email through the link in our transcript at www.TheWorldView.com.
And the South Carolina Senate voted Wednesday night to amend a dismemberment bill to ban virtually all abortions, with the typically unjust exceptions of rape and incest. Remarkably, the amendment was offered by staunchly pro-abortion Democratic Senator Brad Hutto.

Pop music star Beyoncé Knowles-Carter drew nearly 1,000 people to an Episcopal cathedral in San Francisco last week. The service was created to promote female-centric interpretations of the Bible, reports The Christian Post.
Beyoncé has supported faux homosexual marriage and transgenderism, and performed in last year’s Grammy Awards as Roman, Hindu, and African goddesses.
2 Timothy 4:3-4 says, “For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths.”

Twin Boys Become Thriving Young Men After Mom Rejects Abortion
And finally, doctors advised Heather Garrity to have an abortion over a grim medical diagnosis, reports The Blaze.
But Garrity chose life, giving birth to healthy twins, Ethan and Dominic, who are now graduating at the top of their class. Their football coach described them as some of the most humble students he has met.
