Trump Announces Plans for Deportation of Illegal Immigrants

President-elect Donald Trump has announced his plans to deport between 2 million and 3 million undocumented immigrants. He wants to start with all illegal immigrants with criminal records, gang members, and drug dealers, he told CBS on Sunday.  

Trump Says He Will Support Obergefell Ruling But Work to Overturn Roe v. Wade

Trump has also promised to support the 2015 Obergefell ruling on “homosexual marriage” as settled law. . . but he will work to overturn the Roe v. Wade abortion decision from 1973. He prefers turning abortion regulations back to the individual states. According to recent Gallup polls, 61% of Americans support homosexual marriage, and 46% call themselves pro-life.

Kirk Cameron and Franklin Graham Exhort Americans to Pray for President-Elect Trump

Kirk Cameron and Evangelist Franklin Graham are committing themselves to pray for the President elect, and exhort others to do likewise. Graham posted on Facebook that he is praying “that President-elect Trump will surround himself with godly men and women to help advise and counsel him as he leads the nation.”

The Apostle Paul likewise exhorts us to pray “for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior. . .” (1 Timothy 2:2-3.)

Trump Sees Possible Connection Between Child Vaccinations and Autism

Do some child vaccinations increase the possibility of autism in some children? President-elect Donald Trump has suggested the connection on several occasions, and his wife is known for her activism against mandatory vaccinations.  

Increase of Federal Debt Higher than Reported

Could the federal government be deceiving the American public on the annual deficits? The Treasury Department reports a $587 billion deficit for the fiscal year, but actually, the national debt grew by $1.4 trillion.  

The Washington Examiner points out that the government’s figures do not include federal lending for student loans, and borrowing from the Social Security fund. America’s debt to GDP ratio stands at 105%, up from 100% one year ago. . . and double what it was when George W. Bush took office 16 years ago. The only major nations now exceeding the United States in debt spending are Portugal, Italy, Greece, and Japan.

Muslim Man Attacks Church in Indonesia

A Muslim attack on a Christian church in Indonesia resulted in the death of a 3-year-old child, and injuries to three other children. Locals captured the suspect as he attempted an escape. He was wearing a black shirt with the words “Jihad, Way of Life” as reported by local television.

​Two Christian Converts in Uganda Face Death Threats from Their Own Parents

Two teenage Ugandan boys are in hiding after they converted to Christianity, according to Christian Today. The parents of the young men have threatened to kill them since their conversion, and now their whereabouts are unknown. Persecution of Christians is on the rise in Uganda.

Abortion Mill in Ohio Shuts Down Due to Health and Safety Violations

A Dayton, Ohio abortion mill will be shut down after having lost its license due to violations of health and safety standards. Life News reports that the abortion business has failed to meet state requirements for five years running.

Only Two Lives Lost in Earthquake in New Zealand

In the providence of God, the 7.8 magnitude earthquake that hit New Zealand Sunday produced significant property damage, but only two lives were lost. It was not nearly as serious as the Christchurch earthquake of 2011 that killed 180 people and destroyed 10,000 homes. Prime Minister John Key estimates that damage this time will cost the country hundreds of millions of dollars.

New Zealand approved of homosexual marriage by parliamentary vote in 2013.

“‘Do you not fear Me?’ says the Lord. ‘Will you not tremble at My presence, who have placed the sand as the bound of the sea, by a perpetual decree, that it cannot pass beyond it?’ But this people has a defiant and rebellious heart; They have revolted and departed. They do not say in their heart, ‘Let us now fear the Lord our God, who gives rain, both the former and the latter, in its season.’” (Jeremiah 5:22-24)​
