Supreme Court Might Defend Pro-Life Free Speech

Today, the U.S. Supreme Court will hear arguments on the bizarre California law requiring pro-life centers to publish pro-abortion materials. While the Supreme Court has ruled in favor of abortion multiple times, it has been more reticent to abridge free speech rights.

In 2014, the court ruled that Massachusetts could not enforce a law requiring a 35-foot buffer zone for pro-life activists protesting and praying around abortion mills.

The Thomas More Society reports that the Supreme Court will be considering whether to allow David Daleiden to release more of his undercover videos exposing the alleged atrocities committed by Planned Parenthood. The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals has a gag order on Daleiden’s journalistic investigations.

Sodomite California Legislator vs. Christian Pastors

And now the state of California is increasing the heat on Christian counseling again. Previously, California has banned all counseling which would discourage the sin of homosexual relations.

The new bill, introduced by a homosexual Assemblyman named Evan Low, would go after all Christian pastors who would provide a Biblical view of sexuality and gender.

The bill would also ban all books from being sold in the state of California which would direct people to “the power of Jesus Christ and His Gospel to help them change their same-sex attraction or gender dysphoria,” according to Alliance Defending Freedom.

Oregon Punishes Christian Judge

The State of Oregon is also persecuting Christians, or at least Christian judges who refuse to perform homosexual weddings.

Judge Vance Day received the longest suspension in the Oregon Supreme Court’s history when he refused to participate in the celebration of the homosexual ritual. Judge Day is an evangelical Christian, reports The Christian Post.

But Jesus, our Shepherd and King told us, “Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.” (Matthew 5:10)

Algerian Pastor in Hot Water

A Christian pastor in Algeria was fined $868 and sentenced to three months in jail for preaching the Word of God.

The charge was “causing Muslims to doubt their religion.” Pastor Nordine plans to appeal, according to Morning Star News

Kazakhstan Muslims Upset with Christian Pastor over Conversions

One pastor from Kazakhstan has been on the move, hiding from the police, since he left his home in April of 2017. International Christian Concern’s report about Pastor Ravil prompted The World View to speak to Amy Penn, who wrote the article, about his ministry in Kazakhstan before he had to leave.

“The underground pastor I wrote about in my article; He was an underground pastor originally located in Kazakhstan. And he had dedicated his life to building underground church groups throughout central Asia. He focused on evangelizing Muslims, and then, once they converted, having discipleship groups so that they could strengthen their faith as he discipled them.”

The government has the ability to divorce Pastor Ravil from his wife, but pray for the mighty protection of God over his family, and pray that they would rest in the words of Proverbs 18:10.  “The name of the Lord is a fortified tower; the righteous run to it and are safe.”

Evangelist Without Limbs Defends Babies with Down Syndrome

Evangelist Nick Vujicic (pronounced VOO-yee-cheech) may be the most famous Christian evangelist in the world today. Born without arms and legs, Vujicic has spoken to millions in 63 countries around the world.

Now he’s speaking out against the move to abort children conceived with Down syndrome. Vujicic told Glenn Beck he had experienced something similar for his disabilities. Sadly, he has been told that he should not have been allowed to get married or have children or preach. God has blessed Vuijcic with a wife and four of his own children.

1 Corinthians 1:27 says, “But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God has chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty.”

Uber Self-Driving Car Kills

Senator Rand Paul Opposes Trump’s Top Diplomat Pick

Republican Senator Rand Paul has announced his intention to filibuster Trump’s nomination of Mike Pompeo to be the next Secretary of State. Paul says he is principally against Pompeo’s hawkish regime-change position.

Pompeo is a member of Eastminster Presbyterian Church in Wichita, Kansas, where he served as a deacon. The church recently shifted its denomination affiliation from the PCUSA to the more conservative Evangelical Presbyterian denomination. They switched because of the PCUSA’s position on homosexuality, according to the Wichita Eagle

New Christian Film’s Surprising Box Office

And finally, The Christian film “I Can Only Imagine,” exceeded all expectations at the box office over the weekend, beating out the New Age children film “A Wrinkle in Time.” The film was based on the song by the same name, performed by Mercy Me, written by Bart Millard on the death of his father.

Taking in over $17 million in its first weekend, the Christian film cost $7 million to produce. That compares to A Wrinkle in Time budget of $103 million which took in $33 million on its opening weekend.
