Young U.S. missionary shared Christ with Muslims in Middle East
The Worldview interviewed Aaron, a 22-year-old Christian college student in Minnesota, who just returned from a 3-week-long missionary trip to a Muslim-majority country in the Middle East.
There were 11 other missionaries with him and they split up into three teams of four.
AARON: “The Quran states that Muslims should read the Bible to better themselves. We were able to supply them with Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, as well as the Torah, which is the first five books of the Old Testament: Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy. And we were also able to supply them with Psalms and Proverbs during our mission. This was the first time that these people had ever received the Bible in their native language.”
I asked him whether he saw any Muslims trust Christ during his trip.
AARON: “Although we did not see any instantaneous Muslims convert to Christianity on the spot, we were privileged to be able to share the full Gospel to these Muslim people. They were very eager to learn more and said they would read the Gospels to better understand Jesus and Who God claims to be.”
Aaron was reminded of a verse that perfectly described why Muslims were open to investigate the claims of Christ.
AARON: “Jeremiah 29:13 says, ‘You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your hearts.’ One of the best questions we got from the Islamic people had to do with the Trinity. They were confused on how Jesus is God’s Son. But yet there’s a Trinity God with the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit being one God. So, our answer was, we believe in three persons, one God.
“We were able to use different analogies. One of the biggest ones being a triangle, how it’s one shape, has three sides. We got to use the analogy of water. Water can be a liquid, it can be a solid, and it can be a gas, but yet it’s all still considered water. And so that was an analogy for the Trinity as the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit that we got to use with them.”
McMANUS: “How did they respond to that?”
AARON: “This analogy sparked a lot of interest, but still some confusion. And so that’s why we encouraged them to read Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John themselves to learn more about the nature of God.”
Finally, Aaron asked for your prayers.
AARON: “I really encourage you to pray for, number one, the Islamic people, as they become open to the truth of Jesus Christ. A lot of them are coming to faith. Pray for their safety as it is very dangerous for them to come to Christ. Pray for the missionaries that are foreigners that are going into these countries that the Lord continues to protect them.”
Trump pleads not guilty to charges in 2020 election case
On August 3rd, former President Donald Trump pleaded not guilty to a third set of criminal charges, reports The Epoch Times.
Wearing his trademark blue suit, white shirt, and red tie, Mr. Trump, age 77, appeared before Magistrate Judge Moxila Upadhyaya in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, in the nation’s capital.
Flanked by his attorneys, John Lauro on his left and Todd Blanche on his right, Trump sat at the defense table with a serious expression and occasionally looked at special counsel Jack Smith, the prosecutor who brought the charges against him.
A 45-page indictment, filed on August 1 by Smith, charges Trump with criminal conspiracies to defraud the United States, to obstruct the certification of votes for President Joe Biden on January 6, 2021, and against citizens’ right to vote.
Pence reacts to latest Trump indictment, comments on January 6th
Appearing on Good Morning New Hampshire with Jack Heath and Rob Carson, former Vice President Mike Pence weighed in on his overall loyalty to former President Trump during his four years in office and shared his thoughts on Trump’s latest indictment.
PENCE: “I fought against the Democrats in Congress when they impeached the president for a phone call. I called out that absurd indictment in New York. And, a year ago, I denounced the raid on the President’s home in Mar-a-Lago. I take no issue with the fact that we’ve seen a weaponization of the Department of Justice.
“But, I would tell you, look, I don’t know whether or not the government has the ability in this case, to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that a crime occurred.”
In addition, when the latest Trump indictment came down on August 1st, Pence tweeted, “Today’s indictment serves as an important reminder: anyone who puts himself over the Constitution should never be President of the United States.”
Plus, on yesterday morning’s New Hampshire radio show, Pence also addressed whether he had the constitutional power to overturn the election results on January 6th as Vice President.
PENCE: “I just want the American people to know that I did my duty that day and that President Trump was wrong in saying that I had some right to overturn the election. Completely false. He continues to repeat it, his allies in the media continue to repeat it, and I’m not going to stand for it.”
Singer Harry Styles donates millions to Planned Parenthood
Pop singer Harry Styles recently completed his two-year, 173-venue “Love on Tour,” but what attendees may not have known is that proceeds would ultimately support a number of left-wing causes, including abortion, reports LifeSiteNews.com.
The UK’s Evening Standard reported that the tour raised more than $6.5 million to be distributed to Planned Parenthood and Physicians for Reproductive Health, as well as a gun-control group called Everytown for Gun Safety.
In September 2022, Styles said on tour, “No one can tell you what to do with your own body. It’s yours.” Like many confused people, the singer fails to recognize that the pre-born child, who is located inside the mother’s body, is distinctively a different body, with its own unique DNA and, in 50% of the cases, a different gender.
But fundamentally, the developing babies are worthy of protection because they are created in God’s image. In Psalm 139:13, David wrote, “For You created my inmost being; You knit me together in my mother’s womb.”
Cop shocks teen boy with Play Station 5
And finally, an unnamed teenage boy in Hapeville, Georgia was going door to door asking to pull weeds, cut grass, or trim hedges in order to save up enough money to purchase a PlayStation 5, reports Good News Network.
Sadly, one of the neighbors called the cops to have him removed.
When Officer Colleran arrived on the scene, he found the teen to be “polite, respectful, and truthful.”
The policeman, a gamer himself, was impressed by the boy’s attitude. So, he and his fellow officers, pitched in $400 to buy the young man his dream Play Station 5.
Needless to say, the boy was shocked when Officer Colleran pulled the gift out of the back of his squad car within the next week.
In Acts 20:35, Jesus said, “It is more blessed to give than to receive.”
